AllergEase is our Seasonal Allergy support tisane with mountain botanicals respectfully gathered throughout the previous foraging season for this spring. Many botanicals we use today in herbalism were shared amongst Indigenous groups and with settlers by Indigenous people who have an ancestral relationship, deep knowledge, varied cultural uses, unique stories and a deep respect for these plant relatives. Much gratitude is given for this ancestral knowledge taught through generations and at times shared, that deserves much more acknowledgement. We teacrafted this one for you and our whole family as there are genetic predispositions but we can live well through food, lifestyle, stress management and herbs. We feel your discomfort so we made this blend with this in heart.

A 50g bag will yield around 28 cups.

Consult your practitioner for your health plan and contraindications.

Not for use during pregnancy!

Gathered Botanicals:

Goldenrod is a premier decongestant with anti-inflammatory action to reduce catarrh of sinuses. It is astringent, digestive and antimicrobial as well as wound healer. We gather Goldenrod late summer/fall, high in the mountains meadows. We share the botanical medicines with key pollinators in a deeply respectful way for both plants, pollinators and for our medicinal use.

Pearly Everlasting is a premier Antihistamine botanical with anti-inflammatory, expectorant and astringent properties. It can help curb the release of histamines to reduce inflammation during an allergic reaction. A key action to soothe and tone during seasonal allergies. It is an olden lesser used botanical with amazing properties.

Fireweed is a soothing botanical for the gut which requires more support as seasonal allergies are often related to certain food sensitivities. Consult your practitioner to create a food plan to support you. Perhaps eliminating key triggers foods will ease and digest better as most of our immunity comes from our guts so some of extra focus here is key.  Fireweed is high in mucilage for your gut repair and health but also any irritated tissues from respiratory to digestive system.
Paunnaq is a traditional botanical of my Inuit Ancestors and used for many ailments as a food and medicine. Lessen the load of food triggers.

Organic Botanicals:

Stinging Nettles is a natural antihistamine and anti-inflammatory used for allergic rhinitis from pollen but also dust mites, hair dander and irritants. Nettle research has been shown to block receptor sites that histamine usually latch to therefore reducing allergic reaction. It is a tasty green vegetable to eat in the spring and sip as a tea. More nettle greens for wellness.

Dandelion Leaf is for much needed spring liver support as we all know it does so much on the daily that it needs some care too as we help guide our bodies to a more soothing spring transition. It also helps regulates bowel movements so remember to drink lots of water too.

Horehound is a bitter mint and has properties to thin and move mucus secretions, decrease swelling, and is a decongestant. It is specific for post nasal drip, asthma and allergies. Usually found in cough drops and very bitter but a gentle touch helps along with other allies.

Yarrow is a queen of herbs for many amazing benefits she offers. She also inhibits the release of histamine as such is anti-inflammatory, digestive, wound healing and helps open the pores of skin as a diaphoretic.

Hawthorn Leaf has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, astringent used mainly for heart health but it also relaxes blood vessels to offer better heart output which in turn means more oxygen, nutrients and detox as our heart works so hard on the daily. It is food and medicine for the heart and we all need some self love. Decreases inflammation of the circulatory system.

Marshmallow Root contains high amounts of mucilage which aids our body in relieving irritation caused by allergens. It helps repair gut lining, reduce digestive issues, lowers inflammation and has antioxidants properties. Together with an elimination diet of trigger foods, drinking lots of water, exercise and relaxation.

Ginger is a histamine blocker, immune booster and digestive ally that helps absorb curcumin from Turmeric. Ignites digestive fires while reducing inflammation.

Turmeric helps prevent the release of histamine from mast cells. It is anti-inflammatory powerhouse with immunomodulatory effects bringing system back to normal functioning.

Adaptogen Botanicals for Adrenals:

Astragalus is a key botanical to boost immunity, anti-inflammatory, and help when feeling run down by seasonal allergies because let’s face it it is hard on our bodies during an allergic reaction to cope. It helps bolster against stress, dis-ease and aids in protecting our bodies with antioxidant properties.

Tulligunnak (Rhodiola) as an adaptogen that helps our body’s resistance to stress both physical and mental. It improves overall body function to adapt and cope while improving brain, physical performance and resilience. My ancestors used Tulligunnak for wellness for millenia and is now growing as a popular supplement.

Ashwagandha is Ayurvedic Adaptogen that promotes longevity, vitality and happiness. It is grounding, calming and nourishing for overall wellness. It balances many body systems, reduces stress hormone cortisol and has anti-inflammatory properties.
